This Privacy Policy explains how Saolful Pty Ltd (ACN 680 296 191) (“Saolful”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information in connection with the Saolful website at www.saolful.com and any related online services, ticketing pages, mailing lists and merchandise services (collectively, the “Platform”). Saolful is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect:

  • when you visit, access or use the Platform;

  • when you purchase tickets to a Saolful event;

  • when you purchase merchandise from us;

  • when you subscribe to our mailing list or contact us;

  • when you participate in surveys, feedback or community features;

  • through cookies, analytics and similar technologies; and

  • from certain third parties as described below.

Our Substack newsletter is hosted by Substack Inc. and is subject to Substack’s own privacy policy. When you subscribe to or read content on Substack, your personal information is handled by Substack in accordance with their policies.

2. Categories of personal information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

We collect the following types of personal information when you provide it to us:

  • Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, postal address (for merchandise delivery) and phone number (where requested).

  • Ticket and event information: details associated with your event booking, including the event(s) you have booked, the names of any additional ticket holders (for example, for 2-Pack tickets), and any accessibility, dietary or other requirements you choose to share.

  • Merchandise order information: items ordered, size and delivery address.

  • Payment information: payment is processed by our third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, Humanitix or Eventbrite). We do not store full credit card details. We receive limited transaction information (such as transaction reference, amount and payment status).

  • Communications and support information: information you provide when you contact us, including emails and any other correspondence.

  • Surveys, reviews and feedback: information you voluntarily provide in surveys, post-event feedback, testimonials or other communications.

  • Health, safety and accessibility information: any health, injury or accessibility information you choose to disclose so that we can support your safe participation in our events.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Platform, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

  • Usage data: pages viewed, time spent, navigation paths, links clicked and interaction timestamps.

  • Device and technical information: IP address, device identifiers, device type, operating system, browser type and language settings.

  • Internet and network activity: referral URLs and interactions with marketing content.

2.3 Information we collect from third parties

We may receive personal information from:

  • ticketing platforms (such as Humanitix, Eventbrite or Stripe), where you book tickets through those services;

  • payment processors, in connection with transaction processing and fraud prevention;

  • email marketing platforms, in connection with subscription, open/click data and deliverability;

  • social media platforms, where you interact with our content or contact us; and

  • Substack, where you subscribe to or engage with our newsletter through that platform (subject to Substack’s own privacy policy).

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provision and operation of events and services: to process bookings, send event confirmations and reminders, manage attendance, and operate Saolful events and the Platform.

  • Processing merchandise orders: to fulfil and ship orders, handle returns and provide order updates.

  • Communications and support: to respond to enquiries, provide customer support and send service-related messages.

  • Personalisation: to remember your preferences and improve your experience of the Platform.

  • Marketing and promotions: to send marketing communications, event invitations and updates where permitted by law and subject to your preferences.

  • Health, safety and accessibility: to support your safe participation in events, including accommodating accessibility requirements you have disclosed.

  • Analytics, research and improvement: to analyse usage trends, conduct research, improve the Platform and develop new offerings.

  • Security, safety and fraud prevention: to protect accounts, prevent unauthorised access and detect misuse.

  • Legal and compliance purposes: to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms & Conditions and resolve disputes.

4. Direct marketing

We may send marketing communications via email or other permitted channels with your consent. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at info@saolful.com.

5. Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • ticketing platforms (such as Humanitix or Eventbrite);

  • payment processors (such as Stripe);

  • merchandise fulfilment and shipping providers;

  • email marketing and communications platforms;

  • website hosting and infrastructure providers;

  • analytics and performance providers (such as Google Analytics);

  • professional advisers (legal, accounting, insurance); and

  • regulators, courts or law enforcement where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including hosting, payment, analytics and email providers) may store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the APPs.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on the Platform to enable core functionality, analyse usage, remember preferences and improve the Platform. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Platform and Saolful events are intended for individuals aged 18 years and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Platform and will take effect from the date of publication.
